On Saturday February 23rd, the QH BioDragons participated in the Maryland VEX All State Competition. Sixty teams from all around the state competed to win only five tickets to the VEX Globals competition. Once again, I was more than thrilled to already participate in the VEX all States competition! It's my sixth year in a row participating, and the adrenaline never gets old. If you love something. it's worth working hard for, and I've never been happier to see all my hard work pay off. At the end of the day I was able to place 16th in my division! Unfortunately, I was not able to receive a ticket to Globals. No words can describe the amount of despair I felt not being able to achieve my goal. However this feeling of regret will only help fuel my resolve to do everything in my power to make it to Globals next year. I will go to Global's next year. That I promise myself.
Thank you for listening and cheers to VEX season 2018-2019!!!!!

Wonderful news! I met a wonderful surprise when I checked my emails to find that I received the National Hispanic Recognition! I was beyond stunned and speech-less! Thank you for recognizing my efforts and I'm excited to participate in the National Hispanic Recognition Program!!! What a pleasant surprise to end the day with!!!!!
I have been looking into establishing a robotics club within my high school. I have already spoken with my school's Principal and he seemed just as excited as I was to establish the club. Besides from hearing back on a sponsorship, the pieces are all in place. I'm positive there will be people interested in joining (I have already established a group of students interested in participating) and I can't wait to see what we may accomplish. The team will (hopefully) be official sometime within the next two months. I will be sure to update when the club is made official by my school, so make sure to keep an eye out for the first ever Barbara Ingram Robotics team!
I had my first ever Junior Recital on January 30th! I was really, really nervous! Performing in front of people has always made me nervous, but I'm really glad I pushed through till the end! I had an amazing time playing with all my good friends (from left to right) Holly, Dani, and Emelline! Congratulations to my friends on a fabulous performance, I couldn't have asked for a better group to share a junior recital with! Their passion for music and positive encouragement has really touched my life. It has been a privilege getting to know everyone!
It has been a while since I've last updated the website and this blog! My apologies for not keeping everyone updated! When my seniors told me that junior year was the hardest year, they really were telling the truth. Junior year keeps me busy, that's for sure. These past two months I have been especially busy developing my robot for the upcoming VEX competitions. Actually last Saturday was the VOLVO sponsored county competition. I like to think that I did very well in the skills section of the competition! I did five more points than I thought I was able to do, and out of a 32 point scale it is certainly a lot (if I do say so myself). There is still a lot of things I need to update with my robot and I can't wait to see what I think up of next!!! I'm looking forward to the future and I hope everyone who reads this does too!!!!
