Pickup With Ease!

The job our first responders have done during the COVID-19 pandemic has been amazing and we want to thank them for their dedication and putting their health and lives on the line.

Everyday they have to deal with bio-hazard materials and move medical supplies coming from different regions of the US and the world. We thought this project can be a proof of concept on a compact/manual/mobile air pump gripper for small light packages (up to 3 lb).

This design can be extended to be used as a delivery method by using the vacuum gripper suction cup system to help contact-less manage of packages and other objects.

Robot Te

Robotics have being a huge field of interested for our team, and this is the first time we have the chance to use a set with an independent micro-controller thanks to the Dynamixel shield.
The project although nothing new or original is intended as a user guide to new robotics enthusiasts with access to the Bioloid kit, and as a proof that things can be achieve even with basic robotics sets.
The design can be extended to work as a social distancing for clerks on banks or federal offices to receive documents without direct physical contact and preserving the required distance.

MusBall

MusBall is an interactive touch less instrument interface.
>>Music has always been a big part of life. Without realizing it, we often look to music to express unspoken feelings or to help unwind after a long day. Because of the big influence music has had on us, we wanted to combine our two greatest passions, music and making, into a new project: MusBall. We felt that the idea of an instrument with a touchless-interface was a unique idea that we wanted to explore. The touchless surface also allows multiple people to play the instrument without having to worry about sanitation.

MuSticks

MuSticks is a fun device to keep you active during social-distancing.
    >>This project was designed for everyone! During this time of social distancing, it is difficult to find ways to be more active and move around. Walking outside the neighborhood is a great way to keep active and exercise daily, however, some days it may be too windy to walk outside or it may be raining. This is why we were motivated to develop a fun way to keep people active and healthy indoors! MuSticks combines the ideas of music and sticks to make exercising indoors practical and fun. It is important to maintain your health and remain active during these difficult times, and we hope MuSticks can help people in this small way.

Received Superior Rankings at the Solo and Ensemble Festival

For the past month leading up to the Solo and Ensemble Festival I have been diligently practicing my pieces: Romance in G major composed by Beethoven and a Bagatelles trio composed by Dvorak. When I listened to a recording of Beethoven's Romance in G major, I fell in love with the sweetness of the piece. Most of my favorite pieces are comprised of passionate tangos with complicated runs. However the simplicity and gentleness of the main theme presented in double stops really captured my attention. I am beyond ecstatic to receive a superior rating in both my solo and trio performances, but I am happy to have had the opportunity to share my music with others, and receive constructive criticism from the distinguished judges.

Futurefest 2019

On Sunday September 15th, VisteliLabs participated in the 2019 KID Museum Futurefest!!!! We are really thankful to the KID Museum family for inviting us to be an exhibitor at the Futurefest. We had a wonderful time, and we were thrilled to meet so many people enthusiastic and interested in our projects! During our time at the Futurefest many people approached our exhibit and expressed interest by asking questions and testing our projects. We were happy to answer everyone's questions and glad that people enjoyed learning more about making. One of the most important things we hope to accomplish is to spread our love of making, and we really felt we achieved that at this years Futurefest!

Heatstroke Prevention for Babies and Pets
The Heatstroke Prevention for Babies and Pets device is a safety device that monitors and notifies parents of temperatures inside cars to eliminate the risk of infants or pets overheating inside.
    >>This project was designed for parents and pet owner who have infants, young children or pets that they may need to leave unattended inside a vehicle for a period of time. When places inside a vehicle, the device monitors heat levels and movement to ensure safety from overheating. The device will send text notifications with increasing levels of urgency when heat levels inside a car rise above safe temperatures.

Designed for the Exploring & Understand Our Connected World Hackster competition, I hope this device will be a solution to a modern day problem and inspire others to find additional solutions.

Safe Ride
Assure better safety of your commercial transportation service by verifying the identity of the ride you are taking.
    >>Trust and safety on transportation is a challenging new feature that is often not addressed by popular ride sharing services. Public transportation and taxis are easy to spot due to their common color, maker and design. However, ride sharing services are difficult to notice and can unfortunately sometimes pose as a critical safety issue. Using two factor identification and personal external identification, Safe Ride hopes to remedy these issues and ensure better safety for everyone.

For more information visit our Hackster Project at this link.

Otakon 2019

On July 26th, 27th, and the 28th, my family and I went to the annual Otakon convention hosted at Washington D.C!!! This has been the third year my and family and I have gone to Otakon! Since they moved the convention to Washington D.C, it has almost become a summer tradition!
Otakon is one of my favorite events of the year! Not only do my sister and I get to share our love of Japanese animation with everyone else, we get to participate in panels, meet world-famous Japanese animators, directors, song-writers, voice-actors, and producers, and meet other passionate cosplayers!

My personal favorite panel was a live animation with Naoki Yoshibe, an animator that animated the first opening of Jo Jo's bizarre adventure! It was an amazing and really inspiring experience! It was really unbelievable what he could animate and draw in under only an hour! I really enjoyed all of the panels we were able to catch! I really wish I could clone myself so I could go to more panels!!!
I also really enjoyed putting together my own cosplay for the event! Cosplaying a passion of mine because I love bringing characters to life through the art of makeup and costume design! I love how no matter your race, height, or weight everyone and anyone can cosplay! I love seeing the unique and creative twists people can bring to the table!!!

Breakthrough Junior Challenge 2019

Another year, another Breakthrough Challenge Video!! Once again I have decided to participate in this years Breakthrough Junior Challenge!!!  I had loads of fun researching my topic, quantum computers, and also filming the stop motion!!!
Please be sure to watch it as every view counts!
Thank you in advance!!!!

Maryland State High School VRC Turning Point Tournament

On February 23rd of 2019 I attended the Maryland State VEX Turning Point Tournament for the season of Turning Point. There I competed with over 60 teams from all across Maryland. This was my second time building and programing the robot completely by myself, but my first time actually attending the competition by myself. However, even though my sister was 191.6 miles away she was still with me in spirit. It was very exciting to be participating in the States competition again!

Volvo Group Trucks VRC Turning Point Qualifier 2019

On February 2nd I attended the Volvo Group Trucks VRC Turning Point Competition! I had so much at the competition, as always it was amazing to see so many other people as passionate to engineering as I was! I loved seeing everyone's unique designs!
The team made it to the semi-finals of the competition however, sadly we weren't able to progress any farther! However we are excited to say that the team did very VERY well in the skills portion of the competition, earning five more points than I originally planned!
Can't wait to show the new and improved design at States! I will see you then!

The Quantum Bio-dragons won the Judges Award!

On December 1st, The Quantum Bio-Dragons participated in the VRC Rebel Rumble Tournament, and to our wonderful and pleasant surprise, we won the judges award!! I'm beyond grateful to the VRC judges for considering me deserving of this award! Thank you!!!

Tower Takeover is played on a 12' by 12' square field where two alliances, one red and one blue composed of two teams each, compete in matches consisting of a fifteen second Autonomous period, followed by a one minute and forty-five second Driver controlled play. The object of the game is to gain a higher score by strategically flipping caps onto your respective team color, toggling flags, and within the last 30 seconds of the match, parking your robot in its designated scoring zone.
